Steven Gerrard to captain England great for the team. Yet he still felt humble.
England midfielder is known as a player who was instrumental in winning the Three Lions over Ukraine. Gerrard himself considered that it was the result of teamwork.
England captain also gave praise to John Terry. Captain Terry had to be removed by the FA for the case of racism but Gerrard assumes that his partner is still an important part of the UK trip.
"It's not just about a captain in the England squad," said the player who is also the captain of Liverpool.
"We have many leaders and the people are fantastic here and the reason we can play well is because all the work in the right direction and is headed by a role model."
"John has been a big part in that. His performance has been exceptional and we certainly need it anymore."
